Cold Front is a hardcore band formed in 1991 in Astoria, Queens, NY.
The band was started by Nick B, (brother of Chris Beee of Everybody Gets Hurt / EGH), when his previous band Fit of Anger had disbanded, and over the years included members of Crown Of Thornz, Breakdown, 25 Ta Life, No Redeeming Social Value, Grey Area, Terminal Confusion, Gilligan’s Revenge and others. With the core lineup of Nick B, M.S. and Harry together since 1992.

The band's music is mainly mid-tempo with an emphasis on powerful riffs and heavy grooves, with some dark melodies that create a unique atmosphere. The vocalist's style is reminiscent of the legendary band Leeway.

The band established its own "Queens style of hardcore" while evoking the sound of fellow Astoria Queens bands like EGH, Crown of Thornz, Outburst, and Leeway who all grew up together, representing their Astoria Park South neighborhood.

This release is a compilation of hard-to-find 1993 and 1995 demos and a 2000 demo (Unreleased). The 2000 demo featured Mike Dijian and Dimi (Crown Of Thornz), and two songs were used for a split 7” with EGH, but the other two songs were unreleased. 11 songs in total.

1991年、ニューヨーク市クイーンズ区アストリアで結成されたハードコアバンド。

Chris Beee (Everybody Gets Hurt/ EGH)と実兄のNick BがやっていたバンドFit Of Angerが解散後にNick Bが中心となり、活動を開始する。

1992年にボーカルのMS, ベースのHarryを迎え、ドラマー以外が不動のラインナップとなる。

Crown Of Thornz, Breakdown, 25 Ta Life,No Redeeming Social Value, Grey Area, Terminal Confusion, Gilligan’s Revenge等のメンバーが在籍していた。

力強いリフとヘビーグルーヴに重点を置いたミドルテンポの楽曲が中心で、ところどころに聴かせる怪し気でダークなメロディが独特の雰囲気を醸し出している。

ボーカルは伝説のバンド、Leewayを彷彿とさせるスタイル。

同郷のEGH, Crown of Thornz、Outburst やBreakdownといったクイーンズの名門バンドのサウンドを感じさせながらも、

独自の「クイーンズ・スタイルのハードコア」を確立している。

この作品は入手困難な1993年、1995年のデモと、2000年のデモ(未発売) をまとめた物で、2000年のデモはCrown Of ThornzのギタリストMike Dijianと、ドラマーのDimi が参加しており、EGHとのスプリットに2曲が使用されたが、残りの2曲は未発表。その未発表曲も収録された全11曲入り
